HONORING OUR FANS AND THEIR MUSTANGS

M A G A Z I N E

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

I have had a ton of fun going to car shows with my friends, as well as driving to different states or local Cars & Coffee events. There is just something about the lines of this Mustang that I have always loved and it always puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. For a car that has 140k original miles on it, I don’t think it looks bad at all.

Coming from a long list of Mustangs that I have owned through the years, from a 1969 Mach 1, 1981 V8 Mustang with T tops, 1986 GT, 1995 GT and a 2019 Bullitt, I’m keeping with that tradition with this new addition. To be frank when I saw the debut from Ford with the 2024 Mustang lineup, I was not impressed at all until they showed the promo video on the Dark Horse. This was the “I have to have it” moment for me. The car was mean looking and immediately I said “That’s BABA YAGA”. My son asked what’s BABA YAGA? I replied from the movie John Wick. It’s the one you send to kill the Boogie man. Since owning it for the past few months I have to say I have zero disappointments. It handles like it is on rails and sounds menacing. CHUCK DEKETT This is my 2014 Mustang GT 5.0 that I call my “Blue Summer Toy.” The mods are pretty basic for now. The car has been lowered, has added stripes, and now equipped with a Roush exhaust and cold air intake. I run it on Continental Extreme contact 255/40zr19 in the front and the rear has 255/35zr19. Mustangs are simply amazing. I always said to myself that one day I would own one. So six years ago when I saw this one, I knew it was for me. They are the best! I started doing car shows and meeting a lot of great people and then did more mods. The Carnage wrap is from Griff Garage and that set it off. I did more shows like Bumper for Boobies, a lot of charity events, and any car shows that I could attend. Then I added the hood, the duck bill wing, the lower rear diffuser, the Eibach racing springs, and BMR suspension. Finally, I added the Korjo underground lights, engine bay, and interior. It’s always what’s the next mod, in which I have a whole list of mods to go. You see, if one of your car family gets something, you just want to add more and more to your own. It’s one heck of a ride. I would not change it for anything. I love it! It is my passion to influence others and kids to go after their dreams. The most fun is to see the kids’ faces as they

ROB WALKO

My passion goes back 18 years when my first Mustang was

a 1991 5.0 GT Foxbody. I grew up around a family of Mustang enthusiast who got me hooked. I have owned over 16 different V8 Mustangs over the course of my life but the S550 is by far my favorite body style with its sleek designs and raw power it punches right out of the gate. Like most gearheads, I can’t leave well enough alone. First mod was wheels and tires for better traction. Next was the catback exhaust and finally after installing the JLT cold air intake I had it tuned. There’s just something about a Mustang that no other car can compare. Other mods now include JLT CAI, MBRP catback exhaust, tuned on E85/ 93 octane, backed behind a Mt 82 manual transmission with Barton short throw and RTR Performance shift knob that never lets go.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself. The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own! first one was a great starter because it needed plenty of

work! Time spent at the drag strip fueled my thirst for power and speed. I like to go fast and I want you to hear it! Currently making 730 hp, she is an Ingot Silver 2016 Premium 6 speed manual with a VMP Gen3R supercharger. Smooth and powerful, cruising through town or running those mountain curves, this car has become part of our family and we love to share those experiences with our Mustang enthusiast friends in the Southern Stangs GA club. There were a few years when I did not have a Ford Mustang in my life and it became even more obvious that the absence of one (or more) of these beautiful beasts was not an option. Let the collecting begin! The passion for Mustangs is one of those things that just grabs your attention and never lets go.
