Prophylaxis Microtufts Specially designed for polishing and cleaning of areas with restricted access such as cavities, fissures and the edges of the gumline, in and around braces and implants etc. This product can be used with or without a polishing paste. With light pressure the bristles spread themselves and can even reach under the gumline. Microtuft brushes are designed for slow speeds to clean before bonding fillings, inlays, onlays and crowns. Use with a disinfectant or prophy paste. Dentists regularly need to clean in the smallest and confined spaces. Efficient cleaning is often difficult or even impossible with conventional brushes. We have designed a new minibrush specifically for this task: the Microtuft! The working tuft is narrower than the shank so it is easy to reach all the previously impossible small and confined areas. The Microtuft is manufactured with nylon bristles and can be used with or without STODDDARD Prophy paste - see page 16.

Prophylaxis SMART Prophy polishers - latex free
You can now choose the stiffness of the polisher that best suits your specific requirements to clean stains caused by coffee, tea, nicotine, red wine, etc. These new coloured prophy polishers are manufactured in 3 types of medical grade synthetic polymer. They are designed for use with STODDARD prophy polishing paste - see page 16. Latex allergy is a medical term for a range of allergic reactions to proteins found in natural rubber latex. Due to the widespread use of latex products in healthcare and medical devices, latex allergy presents a significant healthcare problem. It is estimated that approximately 8% of the global population is sensitive to latex. The risk of a potentially lifethreatening allergic reaction by a patient in the surgery has been deemed to be sufficiently high to replace all latex surgical products with synthetic alternatives.

Interdental brushes All STODDARD Interdental brushes are specially designed to clean thoroughly in the wider spaces between teeth and around bridges and braces. They are vital for the prevention of plaque build-up and will help in the promotion of healthy teeth and gums. They are manufactured using only the highest specification materials. High tensile strength, plastic coated, stainless steel wire at the core prevents the brushes from buckling. For longer life the bristles are made from the same memory retentive nylon as used for toothbrushes. The brush is locked to the handle using a revolutionary production process making it virtually impossible for them to separate.
!
The interdental brush - the most effective instrument to avoid caries and periodontitis in the interdental spaces.
!
Toothbrushes and dental flosses do not clean the concave areas and interdental spaces effectively.
!
Due to the high tensile strength wire the STODDARD Interdental brush can be bent to the right direction in order to have access to all tooth gaps.To ensure extended life of the products do not bend repeatedly beyond a 45 degree angle.
± Ergonomic handle ± Plastic covered high tensile strength wire ± The brush and handle are manufactured as a complete unit so there is no need to assemble ± Each interdental brush has its own hygienic cap which can also be used as a handle extension (except ID114 and ID115) ± The brush is easy to bend enabling full access to the interdental spaces inbetween the rear molars ± The brush is also fully flexible and after bending will retain its original shape ± The brush is locked to the handle using a revolutionary production process making it virtually impossible for them to separate ± Effectively removes the hidden plaque and debris between the teeth that brushing alone cannot reach ± The Interdental brush can thoroughly clean the dead space which a toothbrush can't clean , remove tartar and the residues between teeth , can
massage gums , have a good effect on the blood circulation, prevent bad breath and prevent patterns of periodontal disease from developing. ± The antibacterial agent has been shown to kill bacteria associated with gum problems, tooth decay and plaque ± Each antibacterial interdental brush has its own antibacterial cap which can also be used as a handle extension
! 26
All Stoddard Interdental brushes are delivered in a blister pack and 10 blisters are packed in an outer box which could easily be modified into a retail pack.

Precision made in the UK, this new product retains the exceptional quality and iconic design of our regular ID Brush, but with added antibacterial protection. This high quality hygienic brush fights bacteria on a cellular level, killing bacteria and inhibiting its growth by the addition of new antibacterial technology in the manufacturing process. Completely invisible, tasteless and odourless it silently protects the user against harmful bacteria that could be present on the brush. Every brush comes complete with an antibacterial cap, the ingredients are added during manufacture of both the nylon filament and the moulding of the protective cap to produce a hygienic 'safe zone ' around the brush head. Safe technology with lasting protection, the brush is ISO compliant and the additives are FDA approved. With the latest advances in science and technology we are able to use a new revolutionary, purely natural technology in this product which is completely harmless and safe for everyday use. The antibacterial protection lasts for as long as the product which delivers effective protection killing 99.99% of bacteria. Due to the quality of the additive and its manufacturing application it does not leach out or wash off, therefore preventing any loss of effectiveness. The antibacterial defence starts at manufacture but continues on to and after use ensuring continuous protection throughout. ±Medically safe ±Combats tooth decay ±A multiuse product ±Removes plaque ±ISO specified sizes ±Tests prove a reduction of bacteria by 99.9 % ±British design and manufacture ±Promotes healthier gums ±Freshens breath ±Produced in a manufacturing facility approved for the production of medical devices

Carbides Crown cutters STODDARD Crown cutters have been specifically designed to efficiently cut metal and ceramic crowns. We have developed a new blade configuration to create a more aggressive cutting angle. This acute angle geometry produces far more efficient cutting than conventional carbide burs. Our advanced manufacturing process with solid, single piece tungsten carbide construction ensures exact concentricity for reducing vibration.

Sintered diamond disc for separating crowns 127 µm grit size has a high cutting capacity that ensures all types of crown can be quickly separated ± The diamond grit cuts through gold, porcelain, non-precious metals and even zirconia ± The disc facilitates separating bridges intraorally
Attention
Attention
± Do not apply axial pressure ± Recommended speed: max. 20.000 rpm ± Only use with watercooling ± Correct use of the crown cutter (see above) ± Can be used for 15 - 20 crowns ± Do not twist during procedure
It is essential to cut a deep “V” into the crown. The cut is wider at the surface and deeper into the crown. Otherwise the disc can become stuck between the two sections of the crown, bend and/or break if the patient moves. Not suitable for the lifting of crowns (risk of fracture)

STODDARD Osteo diamond burs are coated with a unique electroplated bonding layer between uniform diamond particles which prevents the instrument from clogging, enabling rapid and accurate reduction of the tooth structure. This allows the bur to cool and reduces the risk of thermal injury. These diamond burs are designed for parting and separating teeth, resecting, reducing and smoothing compact bone and spongiosa. They will effectively finish the surface uniformly and remove bone chips and tooth structure safely.

The STODDARD Endo Bur set has been specially selected for the critical initial step of endodontic access preparation. ± D801L/1.2 and D801L/1.6 are round diamond burs to open a window through dentine and
porcelain metal-fused crowns. ± Metallica II C40S/1.2 efficiently cuts through metal restoratives. ± C1/1.0 and C1/1.4 surgical length carbide burs provide extended reach into the pulp
chamber. ± C152/1.6 Endo II is a safe ended, tapered bur which is used to flare, flatten and refine the

internal axial walls. The safe end (non cutting) guarantees that there is no risk of penetrating the pulpal floor. ± D857/1.4 Dia Endo I has also been added to this set as a diamond bur alternative. ± D850/1.6 tapered diamond bur provides good visibility to flare, flatten and finish ± 180GXL/1.1 Gates Glidden is ideally shaped to safely drill the final step

Diamonds Chamfer preparation diamond burs These chamfered diamond instruments with a guide pin are ideal for preparing a deep chamfer margin. The highly polished guide pin is guided round the tooth without applying any pressure. The diamond-coated cutting surface reduces the tooth structure to a deep chamfer and prepares a uniform deep chamfer at the preparation margin. These instruments are available in 2 grits and in cylindrical and tapered shapes.

Sintered diamond disc for separating crowns cutting capacity that ensures all types of crown can be quickly separated ± The diamond grit cuts through gold, porcelain, non-precious metals and even zirconia ± The disc facilitates separating bridges intraorally.
Attention
The cut is wider at the surface than deeper into the crown.

STODDARD Scotchbrite wheels are available in 3 different grades and are ideal for working with a variety of different materials. The soft and flexible, non-woven material used in the construction of the discs provides a much longer lifetime due to low thermal development and the open structure of fibres which is ideally suited to smooth plastics, silicones and other soft materials and for the positioning of mouth guards, dental splints, etc. ± Gentle pre-polishing without polishing paste ± Reaches concave surfaces with ease ± Consistently good results throughout the entire service life
71
Brushes, mops & felts Sica occlusal brushes STODDARD Sica occlusal polishing brushes provide a single-step, fast and effective polishing system for restorations. Polishing paste is not necessary as the special filaments are loaded with fine silicon carbide polishing particles for an exceptionally high lustre finish. As the brushes wear, abrasive grit is consistently exposed on each filament at the polishing surface. High quality results are achieved more efficiently than with conventional polishers. STODDARD SICA Occlusal brushes are available in four shapes for easy polishing of occlusal and interproximal areas: Cup, point, pencil and wheel. ± A high lustre satin finish polishing of restorations made of composites, compomers and glass ionomer cements ± No polishing paste required ± One step finishing and polishing ± Versatile ± Faster and more efficient than polishing paste systems ± Very economical ± Low heat generation ± Autoclavable ± Reuseable

The Rhino brush is a super stiff lathe brush combining 3 rows of best pure bristle interleaved with 2 rows of super stiffened Calico for durable general purpose polishing of acrylic and chrome cobalt. We have used a superior grade of best black bristle to produce these new and improved brushes with a thick natural cotton calico interleave that has been stiffened by a special chemical process for added strength. These Rhino brushes are "tough" with high impact plastic hubs to avoid splitting. They have a straight bore that allows the hub to be turned and used on both sides for even wear and longer service life.

Carbides Premium carbide cutters ±STODDARD Carbide cutters have the maximum number of blades over and above the requirements of the ISO standard for all carbide cutters. Other
manufacturers reduce production costs by making their cutters with the minimum number of blades required by the standard ±STODDARD Carbide cutters are made of one piece of solid carbide for all cutters up to a working part of size 2.3 mm. Therefore these cutters are 100 %
accurate, no breakages etc. ±STODDARD Carbide cutters have a sharper blade angle which allows smooth working on recommended materials without using pressure. This is easier to
use for the operative and results in less wear on the handpiece which means - longer life and reduced repair costs ±STODDARD Carbide cutters have a special uniform group blading where all the cutter head blades have the same cutting geometry - working with either the
top or the side of the cutter will produce the same perfect results

Acryl-Star – these gold coloured, TiN coated cutters (2500 HV) have been developed by leading dental technologists for cutting acrylic.. This special coating produces less friction on the work surface and ensures that grinding debris does not stick to the instrument, meaning it will stay cleaner for longer. Research has shown that not only does the cutter produce an exceptionally smooth and very hard surface, the lifetime of the cutter is significantly extended by 3 to 5 times when compared to a conventional uncoated cutter. This feature not only extends the working life of the cutter but also allows the operator smooth and effortless usage. As the cutter remains “clean” during use, this allows for a more uniform grinding and smooth polish.

Compo-star - these grey/blue coated cutters (3300 HV) are ideal for grinding composites, they are much harder and cause less friction than conventional cutters. Often normal cutters can become blunt due to micro-glass in the composite, however due to the unique coating these cutters will last longer and quickly produce a fine, smooth and very hard surface.
