It has been a sincere privilege for our family to be apart of this sale and to witness the commitment from the sale’s consignors to each year find ways to make the genetic offering more improved . There is no better time to be Simmental Breeders as we continue to feel excitement for the real progress being made with the broad acceptance of our breed’s cattle both in seedstock as well as commercial operations Reflecting on the phenomenal cattle that walked through the ring at Junior Nationals in Des Moines, the genetic improvement is becoming both noticed and recognized Without question, the time is right to offer what I believe to be an industry-wide accepted set of quality cattle

I am especially proud of the efforts these past few months from our consignors to be able to produce and develop the exciting set of genetics found in these good 2023 Illini Elite cattle As you get the chance to look at the heifer calves, you will find current genetics in heifers that phenotypically are built right and most certainly will compete! Preparing for and selecting the 2024 AJSA Classic heifers begins now so realize that these heifer calves are simply stellar! The bred division of females will be preceded by six tremendous pregnancies from some of the breed’s great dams that again are “cutting edge genetics” and can provide their new owner with high end and competitive offspring Our bred division is nothing short of amazing and full of an elite bred and well managed set of cattle and what has impressed me again is the effort by our breeders to have these females stuck to their AI dates It is one of the highest % AI conceived sales that you as buyers will have a chance to participate in so help yourselves here!

Everyday we are pleased to have found this heifer’s dam in the Jewels of the Northland sale and I believe looking at HILB Price of Starin H381C’s first flush to the hot STCC Tecumseh sire, her future is bright here We had all but one in the flush that were bulls but this girl came along later and she immediately impressed me with all of her early body and bone Such a soft, deep profiling young female in that March division I love this heifer’s look when she stops with all her power and that striking bald face, but she gets out and goes with so much flex to her hock and knee with the right angles in her shoulder and pasterns Exceptional female and you would expect that out of and by that great dam and sire!
