    In axillary fascicles, subsessile; purple, subrotate. Flowering from November-February.

    Fruit

    Terete paired follicles, gradually narrowed, abruptly acuminate; seeds many, oblong, flattened, ventrally ridged, coma brownish-white. Fruiting February onwards.

    Field tips

    Latex milky. Leaves with white patches along the midrib on the upper side during the juvenile stage.
