Hi everybody.
I'm a new and novice french bonsaika.
Please let me present you my first tree, a pinus uncinata yamadori.
I want some help for working on it this year.

Very attractive tree. You may want to wire the smaller trunk so it doesn't turn toward the parent trunk quite so abruptly.

Yes you're right, the smaller trunc is in the opposite direction it must have.
According to me, the principal work will be to restylate the son. For the father, trunc mouvement is ok, and good conicité. Just put in place branches.

Like this for example (a virtual for a french bonsaïka) :

This is a great first yamadori piece. I like the last design but I think it would look better with the son angled upward more towards the main trunk. You can cut a thin V notch to help in this process. It closes up as you bend the smalller trunk in.

Don't rush the styling of it, Pines are long term trees.

I found a tree wich is similar (the same in bigger). I'll inspire myself for mine.
It's a pinus sylvestris from Didier Lanoe. You can see it here
