NEW: Hanhart Austrian Air Force AW169M L.E. Chronograph

Following on from the recent announcement about a French Air Force watch, today is about another watch brand and air force model. It’s also another chronograph.

In collaboration with the Austrian Air Force, Hanhart has launched a limited edition monopusher chronograph. It comes in two versions – with a fluted bezel, or with a smooth bezel, both in limited editions of fifty pieces each. The 45mm case (thickness of 16mm) is water resistant to 100m and the case back features an engraving of the Hanhart “h” plus the limitation number XX/ 50.

The dial is dark green and features the historical brand logo, “AW169M” (an Italian military helicopter that is used by the Austrian armed forces) in script, and a propeller that was sketched by Leonardo da Vinci as the Helix Pteron/ aerial screw. It is bicompax, with a small seconds and 30-minute counter. The numbers and hands both have Super-LumiNova and the minute and second hand have bent tips.

Powering it is the ever reliable automatic ETA 7750, with a La Joux-Perret module. It beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 42 hours.

The new Austrian Air Force AW169M Limited Edition has a price of EUR 2,940 on a calf strap, and EUR 3,140 on a stainless steel bracelet. It can be purchased directly from the brand at this link.
