About Philodendron Brasil
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their heart-shaped leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

Finding light for Philodendron Brasil in your home
Philodendron Brasil can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Philodendron Brasil in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Philodendron Brasil
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Philodendron Brasil after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Any tips would help- philodendron 🥹🤗🤗 I know it might be silly but I’m new to this! Is it easy to over water this plant?? I just got it and I’m not sure when it was last watered so I gave it a bit but I just put my finger in the soil and it is pretty soaked…. - also can it survive in this pot it came in? (I don’t think it has drainage bec not water comes out the bottom) Do I need to get something with drainage to move it into right away or will it be alright ?? #Philodendron #PhilodendronBrasil #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #HangingPlants #NewPlantMom #PlantHaul #HappyPlants #UrbanJungle

What other plant parents say
Love my philodendron Brasil. It’s a super easy plant that tells you when it wants to be watered - and it survives drought pretty well in my experience. It’s so much fun to see what each new leaf looks like since the variegation is always a little different!
I wish it grew a little quicker, but I also have it hanging in a bathroom, so it doesn’t get a ton of light. I love the green and yellow leaves, it adds dimension to the plant. It’s pretty hardy and communicates when it needs water. Great for a first time plant parent.
