Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itās likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Parodia erinacea after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

This little one survived despite being a runty button for a year (size of my thumb). He's really picky about everything, i.e.. bronzes up in overhead light, etc. Also, considering that is a stone cup in the shape of a pineapple, he wasn't very comfortable for a while. This was my "Dremel a hole, everything is a planter" times. These are unassuming and kind of a staple, but fun to watch. They're always ready to tell me what they want :)

Can anyone help me get the glue/hideous fake flower remnants off my balloon cactus? I bought this balloon cactus around a month ago at HD because Iād been wanting one so badly, and there werenāt any there which were not smited with this atrocity. I figured it wouldnāt be a big deal, as Iāve removed other fake flowers from other cacti bought at the same place. A little acetone or alcohol to dissolve the glue, and bam. HOWEVER, they seem to have used cement to stick this flower on. I got so frustrated I hacked off at much as I could, but now itās just mocking me every time I look at it. Alcohol has no worked, no matter how patiently Iāve tried and neither had acetone as I said. Anyone know how I can remove this without hurting my cute littlell cactus? šµšš»šøš #CacClique #BalloonCactus #fakeflowercurse #helpneeded #GregGang #GreggersSupportingGreggers #babevila
