Describe the bug
After attempting to fix the Index's microphone via adjusting the default-audio-sample in pulseaudio, SteamVR unexpectedly gave me a 307 error on Wayland sessions. Several attempts were made to fix this, such as solutions provided in #355, #493, #308, #274, and other reports. Switching to X11 allows SteamVR to launch without issue, however shortly after it freezes the desktop, and the mouse having acceleration similar to using a trackball. It also renders a black overlay onto the primary monitor display, making it unusable. At the same time, Index's headset lights change from green to blue. Both sessions show that the headset and lighthouses are connected and running.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Install Steam and SteamVR on a Arch Linux System with KDE desktop enviroment
Change default-sample-rate in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf Expected behavior
SteamVR to launch normally, headset to be fully tracking without stuttering System Information (please complete the following information):
Distribution: Arch Linux
SteamVR version: Beta, but have experienced same results with Linux and normal release
Additional context
Using Wayland, taskbar sometimes disappears and reappears. In general, closing SteamVR from itself does not fully close it, according to Steam client. Peering into the files shows that they are resetting everytime I launch steamVR
