📍 From Bridge, Norway
Tranøy Fyr Lighthouse is located in the small town of Hamarøy, in the Nordland province of Norway. The lighthouse was constructed in 1859, and stands at 16 meters tall, near the entrance to the Sørfjorden. The walkway leading up to it is a great spot for photographers, where magnificent views of the coastline can be enjoyed. For anglers, the Tranøyfjorden, an estuary of the great Sørfjorden, is a fantastic spot for trout, salmon and cod fishing. The Tranøy Fyr museum features interactive exhibits related to the lighthouse, and a nearby Viking burial ground is an interesting reminder of the region's history.
