My MBP16.2 64 and 4TB, ordered on launch day Oct 18
Was slated for Nov 10 - Nov 17
Slipped to Nov 12 - Nov 19 on Nov 10
Slipped to Nov 26 - Nov 30 on Nov 16

Have anyone gotten concessions from Apple when this happened? Free sticker? Call from Cook? Complimentary car wash?

update (a good one, maybe) Nov 17 1118 AM EST

Got a text from Apple that my slated Nov 26 - Nov 30 (3rd revision, see above) was shipped by UPS
Arriving tomorrow Nov 18, 2021
But I don't see any tracking on UPS.COM

You'll first get a text notification if you allow for that on your Apple Card (on your devices). Next is preparing for shipment on your order.

Great! I check everyday my apple wallet on the iphone and no money has been taken out. Since the order is technically supposed to arrive between nov 24th through dec 2nd..when might things start moving along? Its just the standard macbook pro 14 inch

I think Apple is just trying to figure out how to ship stuff out since you know we getting close to the holiday season after - after Thanksgiving we will be in the Christmas season and UPS, FedEx and USPS will be busy delivery package- When I got my July 2019 13 Inch intel Macbook Pro with touch bar was delivered by UPS back in July 2019- but now my 16 inch M1 Max Macbook Pro is being delivered by Fedex

So my 16-inch was originally scheduled to show up Nov 9th-16th and yesterday changed to Nov 24th-29th. Last night, it switched to shipping and now shows as arriving tomorrow. Interestingly, the tracking information from FedEx shows it was picked up from Middletown, PA. Really makes me wonder what is up there?

Apple dose have a warehouse in Carlise PA, so it looks likes you could of been in stock at the warehouse and when Fedex location is in Middletown, PA so that is my guess

I have mixed feelings about the touch bar. (snip...)
Oh and look what we have here! An add-on touch bar for folks that can be trusted not to close their screen on it!

Great observation. I have a feeling Apple will be re-introducing the Touch Bar in the future. They will say Touch ID is back :). It's not completely dead yet.
I too think it will make a comeback at some point. But probably not as a thin bar, perhaps a more substantial touch surface that occupies a larger space. That would make more sense. Apple has a patent that incorporates the touch pad with display too. I could see future systems utilizing the entire space below the keyboard as a multitouch display/touchpad with haptic feedback.
The most irritating thing about the touchbar (outside of the virtual Esc key) is that it would occasionally lag/crash so quickly changing the volume was a sort of hit and miss activity.
I experienced the unstable Touch Bar on my 2016 MBP from time to time. Seemed to get better with later OS updates. My 2016 cooked itself just before AppleCare ran out and I then upgraded to the 2019, which I was going to buy anyway as I needed more RAM. No TouchBar weirdness on the 2019, but it’s not used much other than volume/brightness and that’s where the F keys are… Funny thing is, my 2019 16” also melted itself in about 6 months and they replaced the logic board. All has been good since… My son is taking the 2019 MBP off my hands, or actually has already since he needed a new MBP. Will have my M1 Max soon…. So no more Touch Bar for me.

Just checked my tracking to see what’s up. FedEx is killing it. My MBP arrived in Shinnan-Shi, Japan yesterday morning and I thought it was sitting there all day. Missed a scan, but as of 1:40AM today it was in Memphis and it was released from Customs at 5:00AM. Still showing Friday for scheduled delivery, but I’m hoping FedEx just brings it to me tomorrow.

Congrats!!! This is totally awesome news. When do you start and what will you be doing?

Sorry I didn’t respond sooner stupid Tapatalk isn’t notifying me properly to quotes.

I started last week and I’m actually working at my local  store as a specialist. So I’ll be helping with buying products, setting them up, all that jazz.

Are you enjoying the experience now that you’re there? I’ve seen some of what the specialists have to put up with and all I can say is ?.

You're probably in for a helluva ride. ? Hope you have fun with it.

I’m still in training but I’m excited. Since I graduate in spring I’m hoping I could move to corporate or somewhere else in the company with my degree.

I’ve worked retail for almost 16 years now! So I’m used to the rude people haha.

Usually 2 -3 days before the first date you're told, 11/24 in your case. They should pre-charge at that time. After it is shipped, they take your money.

oh I see how it works..so between the 20th and the 21st I should see something change, to preparing to shipping? That makes sense..I used both an apple gift card and the remainder of the balance goes on the apple card :)

Yay! It looks like the demand for MacBook 💻 is improving! Woo hoo!

Not for me, my order from Oct 19 just got pushed back by over a month! Original delivery was Nov 19-25, new delivery is Jan 5-12.:oops::oops:

I don’t know where Goldman Sacs is getting their info when we are continuously seeing posts about dates being pushed out even further. I’m seeing in some instances where delivery dates are into January 2022.

Anyone in first weeks of December date range seeing any very early movement? I am getting antsy. Dec 9-16 for me now with my second order after a return.
Same estimate. From other date ranges, seems that such may go to preparing to ship sometime next week.
