Watara Supervision -- "Golden Casino" -- Does Anyone Recognize This?

So I've been going through my boxes of weird old gaming stuff, and I found the Supervision bag.  I'm making a list of the few titles I have, and I came across a cart with no label.  I slap it in the system and... get a title screen that doesn't match any of Supervision titles I see listed online.

Does anyone know much about the Supervision?  I have a casino game with a title screen that displays "Golden Casino" and loops with music. Pressing START brings up a menu showing Roulette as the default option.

There IS a Casino game for the Supervision, but the screenshots I'm finding look nothing like what I have.

I have one but I don't recognize that, but there is classic casino which is dated to 1993, is that the date on yours if it shows one?  I doubt it's that game since it doesn't have roulette though.

The second title screen DOES say 1993.  However, from what I can tell (internet videos of Classic Casino), it's not the same game.  This appears to only be Roulette -- so it's either an unfinished "Golden Casino" game, or something else.

I did find a guy with what appears to be the only notable Supervision website on the internet -- he didn't recognize it either.  When I take some good photos of the game in action, I'll share them here as well.

It's amusing knowing I may have (somehow) gotten my hands on an incredibly rare thing... for a system no one cares about! Heh.

You mean the diskman site?  I own his old Supervision, and he's a member here too that's how I found out he was selling the thing.  His passion of hatred towards it was pretty hilarious given what was sharpie'd on the box. :D  After that I ended up with a few more found in a random bag in town at this out of the way shop, then I got the a2heaven multicart.  I just don't recognize it, but you may have some unreleased prototype cart or test cart of a mode meant for that game that maybe just wasn't good enough, buggy, unfinished, etc.  Maybe a pic or few of the cart itself, outside, inside?, game screen shots.  I'd love to know what you have, almost worth having it itself if you're not going to hold onto it, but I couldn't even begin to guess at value if you were thinking that.  I mean it's not like the unfinished symphony of the night tiger game dot com game people got shocked over (which diskman.com has too on that subsite.)

I just checked the multi, it's not on there or anything I can see that would point to it being part of something.  It's a mystery, also reminded me using it again how similar but slightly better (mostly with size) the screen is over the old DMG Gameboy, and some games on it, like Magincross are quite actually good.

I have to get a good lighting setup and some free time, and I'll snap some photos and/or video of the game.  I'm puzzled as to how I got it -- as far as I can remember, I purchased the system -and- a bundle of games off eBay years ago... it must have been part of the lot, and I just never paid much attention to it.  I mean, it is a Supervision...  as far as value goes, if this were anything other than a Supervision, I'd feel like I had something of value. Heh.

I'll share more when I have the time to properly set it up.  It looks like any other Supervision cart, just with no label and "2201" written on it with black marker.  It looks like Supervision games DID have a 4 digit product code, but they never got up to 2200...

Well that just gets weirder and weirder factoring in what you know of the inked on number vs where production supposedly stopped.  My safe guess, partial prototype, maybe part of a game to come with another suite of casino things to do.  The released one I believe has blackjack, 5 card poker, and a slot machine, so maybe another would have roulette, craps, etc to accompany it.  Supervision tanked out pretty quick it seems, fewer protos known as it just got buried, so it could be another you somehow accidentally discovered then rediscovered in that purchase.

I'm just surprised a proto would be available in the USA, of all places.

Seeing as how the only Poopervision prototype I've come across was purchased from a fellow USA-ican, it seems we actually have a 100% found in USA rate going here, for surfaced protos.

(For those not lame enough to be "in the loop" about these things, I acquired a Sonny X'Press prototype a while back. It wasn't very interesting but hey: Preservation FTW, everybody!!)

I may scour my old eBay emails later to see where and/or who I ordered my bundle from.  I think I purchased both a used unit -and- a lot of "sealed" new in package games, but I really am not sure.  I do promise to get back to folks when I have some free time in the next month or so.

I suppose it's possible someone was sent a "review unit" -- if Watara/whatever was feeling VERY hopeful.

Not something to brag about IYAM, but it's better off with you than in the dumpster. Also I'm glad you dig the box doodles. I always enjoy drawing those.

Well yes I guess so.  I can see the charm in it but I also like stuff on FC/GB that the lines of Tim Chen and Sachen would do so there's some serious overlap, and I don't still mind the DMG style screen so it doesn't bother me either in that respect.  I mean I don't actively use it or much handhelds lately ( been on a FC, and then local NES & Genesis kick with local finds ) but it gets attention.  It's solid enough like a Tiger handheld for some quick pick up and play as it doesn't have some earth shattering Zelda clone or anything that needs super attention.

And yes those doodles were a laugh, awesome in a way, so that's why I snapped that image I kept before pitching the box sometime after.

That's a really amazing find. Would you be willing to share a picture of the cartridge?

I will -- I kind of got distracted with real life stuff, but I have a small backlog of "weird gaming stuff" I will process over the next few months.
