Insomniac Games have just announced the release date for the eagerly anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive, Spider-Man. Are you ready, wall crawlers? Because your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man will be swinging back into action on September 7.

Although he has featured in games such as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, it has been while since Spidey has starred in a game. The last Spider-Man console game was The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in 2014 – and that wasn’t as amazing as the game’s title would lead you to believe. Can Insomniac Games give us a great one?

The game’s release date was revealed in a pre-order video, along with details on what the pre-order bonuses are. They also revealed the Collector’s Edition.

As pre-order bonuses, you get the Spider-Punk suit, plus two mystery suits. One of the mystery suits will soon be revealed. The other one will be revealed in July. You’ll also get a Spider Drone gadget, a PSN avatar, a Theme and 5 Skill points.

In terms of the Collector’s Edition, you get The City That Never Sleeps (3 more post-launch story chapters featuring new characters, missions & suits). You also get a statue, a mini art book, a sticker and a steelbook case.
