The actor will star alongside Matt Damon — who returns to the series after sitting out The Bourne Legacy — as well as Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones. Bourne vets Julia Stiles and director Paul Greengrass are also returning for the as-yet-untitled project. Cassel’s exact role is unknown, but Variety reports that he’s set to play the film’s villain. He’ll be seen next in the thriller Partisan, which is scheduled for release on Oct. 2. Greengrass, in addition to directing, is also writing the Bourne screenplay with Christopher Rouse.
