Test sensitivity comparisons
I like comparing brands of tests with the same batches of urine to check their sensitivity. Over the past 5 years I've has 7 pregnancies too test out. I waste way too much money on them but hey, it's for science.
Here is 9dpo versus 10dpo for walmart cheapies versus frer. I much prefer walmart tests for their price and for the past 3 pregnancies, I have had lines on my WC 2 entire days before anything showed up on my frers!
Based on my experience, here are the tests in order of sensitivity for detecting the most minimal amount of hcg soonest.
Walmart first signal
Wondfo IC
FRER
CLEAR BLUE plus sign
Equal in sensitivity but shows after wondfo/WC:
Dollar store veri check (white cassette)
Dollar store pink cassette
Other brands IC
To be honest I've been really disappointed in frer for the last 4 years. I would use a $ store or wondfo before I spent 9 $ for two frer. But they have the big test window so I like to get them to tell my husband with since they're more obvious when definitely positive.
Anyone else have side by side test comparisons?

- ellieandolive Original PosterPosted 05-01-19Here is 10dpo at 11pm with the same urine used on the bottom frer in the last picture. Wondfo has a vfpl and 'one step' internet cheapie and dollar store veriquick have barely discernable lines, I can pick it out but only because I'm insane about POAS. Bbc will probably eat the lines, but it's there, barely.

- For me, AccuMed showed fpl/BFP before Wal-Mart First Signal. Both brands showed lines way earlier than FRER. I only saved the tests which showed positive results. As you can see, Accumed showed positive first at 8DPO, then Wal-Mart brand at 9DPO, then finally FRER at 11DPO. (The Accumed number is doubled since they are so cheap, I tested AM and PM and a couple mid-day for good measure, haha). The digi was taken at 11DPO with PM urine.Advertisement | page continues below
- I had a faint positive on Osom and Family Dollar brand a whole day before FRER, Walmart, EPT, Clearblue, and wide wondfos. I don't have any comparison pics, but here is my first Osom when most were negative. I didn't take a pic of the Family Dollar brand, but I am super impressed with them!

I had a beta (qualitative, so hcg has to be 25 or greater to show positive) and they said negative but for 2 days I had been getting positives on all my at home tests! When they called to say it was negative I was like okay, and the 6 tests, including two digitals I've taken today all say positive, soooo you're wrong. Lol!

The downside is you have to buy a pack of 25, so that is why they seem super expensive. They are the most sensitive test I have ever used. I have used them through 6 pregnancies and they show much darker and sooner than anything else.
