Working across academia and industry, Roger has always found opportunities where there are intersections. Starting life as an academic in engineering, he transitioned to finance working at Macquarie Bank and Deutsche Bank in Sydney and London for over 15 years. Wanting to work with no bosses or employees led to a period of self-employment and a part time academic role. Sustainability has always been a focus, technology an enabler, experience and passion the driver. Founding C2Zero in 2020, Roger has combined all this into an impact focused venture to enable consumers and brands to stop polluters polluting. He has also realised that working with a passionate team is better than being solo. In tandem with C2Zero, a tie up with Monash University has seen the creation of the Real Carbon Price Index - a world first - to enable the cost of polluting to be quantified, tracked and made visible to the public.
