History: (Vault of Spiders I#1/5 - (fb) - BTS) - Kevin Plunder was the son of a man who had killed the last of the Man-Apes in the Savage Land of Antarctica. In his adult years, Kevin had become known as Ka-Zar the Hunter and organized safari trips into the Savage Land for wealthy tourists with no qualms about killing endangered creatures.

(Vault of Spiders I#1/5) - One of Ka-Zar's clients was Wilson Fisk of Kingline, who arrived at Savage Land in his private jet and with an entourage of bodyguards. After providing Fisk with an opportunity to shoot and kill a tyrannosaurus rex, Kevin inquired whether his client wanted to obtain a trophy of a pteranodon. At that moment, he stepped on a tripwire, which released a massive stegosaurus skeleton on top of them. Ka-Zar pushed his client out of its way but was crushed under the skeleton himself. Injured but not dead, Kevin noted that the trap was not in fact meant for him, but was merely a distraction to allow the legendary Savage Spider-Man to separate Fisk from his guide.

After Fisk fled from the site of the attack back to his plane, he was confronted by the Savage Spider-Man (Peter Parker). Retreating to the safety of his plane, Fisk let his armed men who were lying in wait to deal with Parker but the Savage Spider-Man was aided by local venomous spiders that attacked and swarmed both Fisk and his men.

The story does not show whether Kevin was able to escape the trap from or perished under it.
